As support workers, we’re here every day, every night, every weekend, and every holiday working with the people we support.
Now, we have some requests of IDEA Services to support us.
Sign your name below if you agree to the following union claims in our collective agreement bargaining:
- An additional 10 days’ discretionary sick leave
- A small monetary contribution (16 hours pay) for the time we spend completing NZQA training – L3 and L4 take over 1000 hours to complete
- A payment to recognise the time we continue to provide support over the weekends and thereby miss out on time and events with our own family members
- Proper recognition of the importance of our union delegates in our workplaces including some paid time to complete delegate work, such as member representation, ensuring that all new employees are properly introduced to our E tū delegates for a conversation about our collective agreement and our union.
