E tū has had to cancel our Biennial Membership Meetings (BMMs) due to the re-emergence of COVID-19 in our community. One function of the BMMs is to elect candidates for any contested positions on the E tū National Executive. Instead of holding elections at the BMMs, we are using a combination of online voting and mail ballots. This year, the contested positions are Central Regional Representative and Southern Regional Representative.
How to vote
All members will be contacted either by email, text message, or post, depending on what contact information E tū holds for each member.
Emails will be sent to everyone for whom we have an email address. They will include a link to the voting form, and your unique membership number, which will be used to validate your vote.
Text messages will be sent to everyone for whom we have a mobile number but no email address. They will include a link to the voting form, and your unique membership number, which will be used to validate your vote.
Postal voting form will be sent to everyone for whom we do not have an email address or a mobile number. Voting packs will include everything you need, including the candidate biographies, a voting form, and a return envelope.
