Footnotes:
(*1)
8th December 2023: “The union delegates met with E tū to discuss the proposed Bargaining Process Agreement (BPA) and confirm their log of claims. Since then, E tū has provided us with their comments on the BPA, and we will continue to work towards reaching agreement on that document. We also received their log of claims on November 29, which we are currently reviewing, and we will be seeking further clarification on some of the content of that document this week.”
(*2)
18th October 2024: “We respectfully decline your request to participate in mediation. As we stated at the last meeting, we believe that it is premature to attend mediation. We continue to hold that view, in circumstances where we only received formal confirmation of the union’s claims at the last meeting. While we are open to continuing negotiations in good faith, we believe that further direct discussions between our respective teams may be more beneficial. It was made clear in the last negotiation that while NZAS were expecting the union to put forward clear claims to enable us to respond to these claims in their entirety, the union’s approach was less positional. That said, we are happy to consider the use of mediation in the future should these discussions not result in a mutual agreement.”
